Welcome to Nature Lyrics !
Who am I ?
My name is Ganesh H. Shankar (Ganesh or Ganesh HS for short). I am a poet at heart and I passionately write visual
poems using the medium of photography. Accidentally I became an engineer and focus on art of programming computer
systems for making a living. My approach to nature photography is two fold - an artistic expression of nature mostly using
monotones or
creative expressions of nature wherein I try to create unique perspectives of nature.
I don't mind getting up at 3 am everyday for weeks to get that one unique perspective of the nature.
I started photography with an inexpensive point-and-shoot camera in 1993. More than photography I was enjoying nature
and
capturing some images of it. Later a friend of mine lured me into nature photography using an SLR camera.
My serious
journey as a nature photographer started from
1998 and during last several years I have learnt a lot in terms of
photo equipement buying itself !!
I love the unexplainable art of colors, colorless, forms, shapes, light... and the challenge of characterizing interactions of those attributes which touches minds of
those who love the art of light.
Here is my "
artist's statement"
